Youth Ministry Leaders (YMLs) in the Archdiocese of Mobile serve their parish youth ministry programs, and therefore serve as an important part of building the Kingdom of God. The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry acts as a resource and support system to the parish YML through a variety of ways, including training, formation, and consultation.

Effective August 15, 2011, the Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated throughout the Archdiocese of Mobile in the 11h grade. All parishes within the Archdiocese are to adhere to this grade in establishing two–year formation programs for Confirmation.

Parish youth ministry leaders have access to two distinct Resource Libraries: the DCE Lending Library organized and administrated by the Office for Evangelization and Family Life, and the OYM Resource Library organized and contained in the Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministry. The DCE Lending Library has many titles, both print and media, related to youth ministry.
