The ArchMob shirt is a symbol of the unity of the Archdiocese of Mobile. Everyone who live in the boundaries of our archdiocese belong to one family, and regardless of to which parish we belong, we all share this common bond.
The seminarians of the Archdiocese of Mobile, who have com efrom all over the archdiocese ourselves, wanted to demonstrate our connectivity with this whole family. The Support Our Seminarinas initiative started as an effort to help support the immense cost of educating seminarians. The ArchMob shirts are seminarian made and seminarian sold to try and do our part to help support the future of our archdiocese’s priesthood.
For every shirt that you buy, you make an investment in the future not only of the Catholic Church but also in the future of the Archdiocese of Mobile. Every priest in our archdiocese that serves the people of God has come from somewhere and has been educated and formed in a seminary. Buyin an ArchMob shirt is just a small way to participate in that age-old process.

What does the logo mean?
The ArchMob phrase stands for the Archdiocese of Mobile. This is our archdiocese and our home.Although we officially became a diocese in 1829 (which is why the first shirts had 1829 on them), we received our first Bishop, Michael Portier, in Mobile in 1825 and consequently the Catholic Church was fully and firmly rooted in Mobile for the first time.
St. Ignatius of Antioch said in his Letter to the Smyrneans in 107 AD, “Let no one do anything of concern to the Church without the bishop. Let that be considered a valid Eucharist, which is celebrated by the bishop or by one whom he ordains. Whereever the bishop appears, le tht people be there, just as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church.”
The border of the logo is the border of the State of Alabama.
The lower part of the state, the sihouette of which is filled in here, represents the boundary of our archdiocese.
The Star at the bottom of the archdiocese represents Archbishop Rodi, the shepherd and leader of our archdiocese.
