In his words: "Working in prison ministry, God opened my eyes to an immutable law of spiritual physics:  my call to “love God with all my heart” and my call to love my neighbor as myself are not two separate things.  They are the same thing.  I cannot love God without loving my neighbor and I only really love God to the extent that I love my neighbor.  Application to the permanent diaconate was the best way to say “Amen” to that eternal truth.  I am just hopeful that I can be a worthy conduit to pass God’s blessings on to others."
