School is just around the corner. Sorry to break that to you, but I thought you should know. In some ways things are easier once school starts. We all get into routines. We basically don’t worry about what we are going to do with the kids all day. For many of our students it is also a time of fresh beginnings; they aren’t missing any assignments and they are not yet drowning trying to figure out a difficult concept.
In my position, I am blessed to observe the amazing results of stewardship in action every day. Our archdiocese is filled with countless examples of faithful stewards answering God’s call to give back the time, talent and treasure that He so generously entrusted to us.

Researchers can make various cell types out of them, whether nerve cells or pancreatic islet cells, and these could, in theory, be used to treat diseases like Parkinson’s or diabetes. These morally-problematic cells, obtained by destroying human embryos, are, however, limited in their degree of flexibility, lacking the ability to “rewind” and make an entire embryo.
In mid-May, I spent two intense days in Lisbon, where a new Portuguese edition of my "Letters to a Young Catholic" was being prepared as a catechetical resource for World Youth Day-2023.

There is an area near the equator that is known for being difficult for sailors due to the lack of wind. This phenomenon is known as doldrums. As you can imagine, it would be very difficult to get any movement on a sailboat if you found yourself in the midst of the doldrums.
