Submitted by Sandy Cunningham SAINT BENEDICT, La. — Congratulations to Archdiocese of Mobile seminarians Gaten Armstrong and Andrew Wentworth, who received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy and the Liberal Arts from St. Joseph Seminary College on May 13.
Armstrong and Wentworth were two of 29 students who were awarded diplomas or certificates during the 131st Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement Exercises at St. Joseph Abbey Church. They are scheduled to continue their studies this fall at St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology in Indiana this fall.
The Rev. Sam Fontana, Dean of Students, gave the commencement address. Fr. Sam (Diocese of Lafayette) is completing his fifth and final year on the formation and academic faculty.
The Most Rev. Gregory M. Aymond, Archbishop of New Orleans and Chancellor of Saint Joseph Seminary College, and the Very Rev. Gregory M. Boquet, O.S.B., President-Rector of Saint Joseph Seminary College, presented diplomas and certificates to graduates. Dr. Daniel Burns, Academic Dean, presented the academic hoods.
