Recent high school graduates awarded $1,000 scholarships

PRATTVILLE — The Knights of Columbus Council at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prattville awarded two $1,000 scholarships to 2023 high school seniors William Sheppard and Jenifer Resendez-Blacazar. 
William is headed to seminary and will begin studies at St. Joseph Seminary College in Louisiana.
Jenifer will be attending Auburn University in Montgomery and both will have extra help from the Prattville Knights of Columbus to pay for tuition and books. 
Each year the Knights of the Msgr. Rafferty Council award two scholarships to deserving young Catholic Scholars headed on to higher education. Council 10731 in Prattville is one of 17,000 Knights of Columbus councils that make up the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization.
