The Notre Dame Glee Club, under the direction of Daniel Stowe, is on tour throughout the Southeast and will perform a spring concert at the Cathedral-Basilica of the Immaculate Conception at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 9. Admission is free and no tickets are required. Donations will be accepted during intermission.
The University of Notre Dame Glee Club was founded in 1915 and is one of the oldest all-male collegiate choral groups in the country. More than 2,500 young men have sung with the Club over its history.
In Mobile, the Glee Club will be joined for a few opening songs by Mobile’s Singing Children, under the direction of Susan Hoitt. Mobile’s Singing Children has been the premier youth choir on the Gulf Coast since 1977. Performing classic pieces of the highest caliber, they have also toured nationally and have appeared in Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the White House and on NPR’s “From the Top.”
All are welcome to attend.
