By The Catholic Week FOLEY — About $113,650 was raised Aug. 13 to support the Archdiocese of Mobile's 13 seminarians at the fifth annual Seminarian Summer Gala at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish in Foley.
Several priests from throughout the archdiocese again donned aprons and served as waiters for the dinner. Proceeds raised will go toward seminarian education as it costs almost $55,000 for one year of a seminarian’s formation.
Patrons enjoyed a meal made by chef Fr. Nicholas Napolitano, pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish in Magnolia Springs.
This was the first year the Gala was held at St. Margaret of Scotland. Next year's Gala will be in Montgomery.
