By The Catholic Week Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School senior Angeles Gonzalez-Ansaldi and McGill-Toolen Catholic High School graduate Grace Greenwood participated in the Distinguished Young Women of Alabama Program Jan. 21-22 in Montgomery.
Angeles is the daughter of Dr. Gerardo S. González and Dr. María Adela Ansaldi. She is a parishioner of Holy Spirit Parish in Montgomery.
Grace is the daughter of Patrick and Stephanie Greenwood. She is a parishioner at St. Dominic Parish in Mobile.
Grace was named Distinguished Young Woman of Mobile County for the class of 2022 last June. She is the president of her Senior Class and the Chamber Singers, a member of the National Honor Society and a St. Thomas Aquinas Scholar.
At St. Dominic, Grace sings in the choir, serves as a cantor and participates in the Junior Legion of Mary. Additionally, she is a 12-year member of a local community choir, Mobile’s Singing Children, and serves as an ambassador for the group.
Angeles was named the Distinguished Young Woman of Montgomery County for the class of 2022 last August. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Archdiocese of Mobile SEARCH Team, Key Club President, Alabama River Region Ballet Youth Company, Pro-Life Club President and Yearbook Editor and Designer. As a member of the SEARCH Team, Angeles has led two retreats per school year, and has also participated in the annual March for Life, volunteered at Holy Spirit Parish events such as VBS, parish picnics, Trunk or Treats, and Rosary Rallies and visited the Children's Center in Montgomery with her MCPS advisory class.
