Catholic High’s Idrion Reed, a junior, passed the 1,000 career point mark in his 40th game as a Knight, becoming the youngest player to cross the mark in school history.
The Respect Life Committee of the Knights of Columbus Council 48696 of St. Michael Parish, Auburn, made and placed 37 crosses on the front lawn in commemoration of the 37 million babies aborted since the 1973 Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade.
Bradley Donaghey and Archbishop Oscar H. Lipscomb presented Msgr. Oliver Adams with the Junipero Serra Priest of the Year Award at the annual Serra Club of Mobile Banquet held at St. Ignatius Parish’s Marian Center.
The inaugural McGill-Toolen Coming Home Court and Dance was held at the Mobile Convention Center. Kenyon Moody was named Mr. McGill. Other members of the Coming Home Court were: Phillip Keller and Curt Wooten, freshmen; Harry Brislin and Alex Irving, sophomores; Chris Flanagan, David Morris and Terrance Pettaway, juniors; and Phillip Graf, Tyron Johnson and Miles Worsham, seniors.
