Rewak, S.J., announced there would be a $11.4 million worth of improvements, construction and renovations on the 165-year old Jesuit college campus to include a Student Recreation Center, parking lot, landscaping, the new Arlene Mitchell Theater and a student resident complex and more.

Mobilian of the Year, Mary Zoghby, was speaker at the Mobile District Council of the ACCW. Mrs. Zoghby addressed the ACCW on “Leadership Motivation.”

Jami Perez, from McGill-Toolen High School, was named Alabama’s top youth volunteer in the national Prudential Spirit of Community Award. Jami Perez was recognized for starting a fundraising campaign drive for a 9-year-old boy who needed surgery and could not afford it.
The Office of Youth Ministry in the Archdiocese of Mobile hosted its annual High School Youth Conference at the Clarion Hotel in Mobile with 420 youth and adults from 25 parishes attending. The theme was “Come Follow Me!” Greg Thompson served as Director of Youth Ministry.
Seminarian William P. Saucier was installed as an Acolyte at ceremonies at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Pa.
