MOBILE—The French boys choir, Les Moineaux, from Paris will perform a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday July 24 at St. Pius X Parish in Mobile.
Les Moineaux has been singing in France and all over the world for nearly 70 years.
They regularly give concerts of the repertoire (Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Requiem, Vivaldi's Gloria, etc.) in prestigious places, and also sing for humanitarian causes.
Les Moineaux will be on tour in the southeast U.S. this summer. They will offer concerts including music from the 16th century to the present day - and the well-known "Hallelujah" from Handel, "Ave Maria" from Gounod, as well as music pieces of the French folklores. They will also exclusively sell their last CD.
Due to COVID-19, this choir performs in a chamber choir configuration (8 teenagers and young men) and is conducted and accompanied by François Olivier, who is also the Titular of the choir organ at the prestigious church St. Eustache in Paris.
