By The Catholic Week The Catholic Social Services advisory board is coordinating a Lenten pilgrimage to the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville on March 29-30.
Participants will receive a shrine tour, have free time to access the grounds and buildings, including the nativity chapel, lower church, upper church and gift shop. Day two will also include a Eucharistic tour and Mass in the upper church.
Travel cost for the pilgrimage is $100 and includes a catered lunch on March 30. Participants will also stay overnight in Cullman. Contact Comfort Suites at 256-255-5999 or 256-255-5995 and mention Catholic Social Services to receive the group rate of $130 plus tax.
Participants will be responsible for two meals on their own, lunch and dinner on March 29.

Schedule: March 29 - Pilgrimage will gather at Catholic Social Services (188 South Florida Street, Mobile) between 7:30-7:50 a.m and the bus will leave at 8 a.m. A stop for lunch will be made in Cullman. After arriving at the Shrine in the afternoon, pilgrims will receive a shrine tour. Afterwards, there will be free time to access the shrine grounds or buildings. From the shrine, the group will travel to their hotel in Cullman. Dinner options are within walking distance of the hotel.
March 30 - After breakfast at the hotel, the group will return to the Shrine. A Eucharistic tour is scheduled in the morning. Mass in the upper church is at noon. There will be a catered lunch onsite before returning to Mobile. There will be ample free time to visit different sites during the morning.
