Commemorative book pays tribute to beloved priest

DOTHAN — Catholics throughout the Archdiocese of Mobile were touched by Fr. Patrick Maher’s ministry. He was ordained in Ireland and then left for the U.S., where he served in parishes across the Mobile diocese. He spent his final years at St. Columba Parish in Dothan, where in retirement he continued to inspire the congregation. 
Fr. Maher died in 2018, but his legacy lives on. As a memorial to his life, a 20-page soft-cover booklet is now available that contains his famous saying “God is madly in love with you” and other witticisms.This book features candid photos of a priest enjoying his ministry as a young man and as a retiree, along with his many “sayings” that have been a guidepost to his faithful followers.

the Knights Of Columbus Father Maher Scholarship fund.
