Development Associate – Full Time
FSLA Status: Non-exempt
The Archdiocese of Mobile is seeking an energetic self-starter for the Development Associate position. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who desires a long and successful career in development and fundraising in the nonprofit sector. This position requires a person with excellent computer skills who pays great attention to detail, enjoys working with a team and understands the importance of confidentiality. This individual will report to the Director of Development and Stewardship, and will work with the development team, volunteers, donors, clergy, parish, school and ministry staff throughout the Archdiocese of Mobile. The Catholic Charities Appeal, campaign administration, The Catholic Foundation, planned giving and parish stewardship are some of the programs administered by the development team.

Montgomery Catholic Social Services Office Director
Major Function: Ensures Catholic Social Services’ Mission of service, empowerment and enrichment of those in need is carried out with dignity
in keeping with the professional and ethical standards through each of the ministries provided by the Montgomery Office.
Accountable: Archdiocesan Director of Social Services
Qualifications: Preferred candidate will hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Business Administration or a related field with 3-5 years administrative and programming experience in a non-profit setting. Employee must successfully complete the Archdiocese of Mobile’s Children and Adolescent Protection Program and background check. Position requires employee to have current Alabama Driver’s License and insurance coverage of personal vehicle, which will be drive for business purposes.
Responsibilities:
Maritime Ministry is in need of a part time driver. Candidate must have a current driver’s license, insurance and a good driving record. Candidate must successfully complete mandatory Archdiocese Child Protection training and background check. Job primarily consists of driving seafarers between their ships and shopping destinations. Candidate must be available Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday for about 15-20 hours per weeks. Hours are flexible and will vary depending on need. Major objective: Supervision of the overall operations of Catholic Social Services’ resale store utilizing CSS employees and volunteers.

Qualifications: Preferred candidate will have one or more years of college and at least two years’ retail experience; one year experience supervising employees/volunteers. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be computer literate. Candidate must successfully complete Archdiocesan Child Protection Training and background check. Must have a valid Alabama Driver’s License and use of personal insured vehicle. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Job Description
Major Function: To ensure professional and efficient store operations by serving as cashier, donation sorter, merchandise displayer, and stocker.
Position is Non-exempt
Position Reports to: Curiosity Shoppe Manager
Qualifications: Preferred candidate will be a high school graduate with 6 months or more of retail experience. Must have above-average interpersonal skills, basic math skills and ability to manager time and priorities. Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs. Candidate must successfully complete mandatory Archdiocesan Child Protection Training and background check.
