Submitted by Casey Baker PRATTVILLE — The Knights of Columbus Council and Assembly at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Prattville assisted in multiple tornado recovery efforts and also with helping those with special needs.
The Knights helped with collecting and sorting donated food and clothes at Boone’s Chapel and through St. Joseph’s Padre Pio Pantry in the aftermath of the tornado that hit Autauga County. They also mobilized knights (joined by Knights from St. Bede, Council 893) to help with storm cleanup for a family, moving furniture and belongings to safekeeping.
The Knights' leadership also provided financial assistance to local special needs youth through $500 donations to both the Smith Center and New Hope Academy in Prattville.
