Seminarians from St. John Vianney Seminary in St. Paul, Minn., were in Mobile in mid-January for a week of mission work and retreat.
Hosted by Catholic Social Services, the seminarians provided home repairs, free of charge, to elderly and disabled homeowners in Mobile County. For 10 years, seminarians from St. John Vianney have spent several days of their winter break helping CSS make minor repairs such as painting, caulking, replacing wood/siding, floor repair, replacing doors and windows, and major yard cleanup.
Five of the Archdiocese of Mobile’s 21 seminarians are currently studying at St. John Vianney – Lucas Doyle, Noah Klusek, Hunter Williams, Griffin Mahoney and Michael Barber, who is in Rome this semester.
