By The Catholic Week MONROEVILLE — Deacon Terry Anderson, a native of Mobile and a longtime resident of Brewton, died Dec. 23, 2020, after a brief illness. He was 61.
Deacon Anderson was ordained a permanent deacon for the Archdiocese of Mobile on June 8, 2013, and served at Annunciation Parish in Monroeville and St. Maurice Parish in Brewton.
He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, a U.S. Army veteran and was employed as an IT manager at Grede Corporation for 26 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon A. Anderson, Sr. and Eloise Langan Anderson; and three brothers, Gordon A. Anderson, Jr., Gary Anderson and Dale Anderson.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Jan Webber Anderson; two children, Todd O'Bannon and Elizabeth (Hunter) House; three grandsons, Noah O'Bannon, Ethan O'Bannon and Aron O'Bannon; two brothers, David (Jennie) Anderson and Tim (Mena) Anderson; one sister, Eloise (Mark) Fox; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial were scheduled for Dec. 29, 2020, at Annunciation Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Annunciation Catholic Church, 565 Whetstone St., Monroeville, AL 36460.
Interment will be in Johnson Memorial Gardens, Monroeville.
