  • Curiosity Shoppe Manager
    CATHOLIC SOCIAL SERVICES MOBILE CURIOSITY SHOPPE MANAGER Major Objective: Supervises the overall operations of Catholic Social Services’ resale store utilizing CSS employees and volunteers. Position reports to: Office Director FLSA Status: Non-exempt Qualifications: Preferred candidate will have one or more years of college and at least two year’s retail experience; one-year experience supervising employees/volunteers. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be computer literate. Candidate must successfully complete Archdiocesan Child Protections Training and background check. Must have a valid Alabama Driver’s License and use of personal insured vehicle. Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 40 pounds. Responsibilities: Supervision of and assistance with staff and volunteers receiving, sorting, pricing, and stocking store items for sale. Designates which donated items are to be used, discarded, distributed to other agencies, or stored on agency property. Operates and trains others to operate the cash register. Maintains a clean, safe, and pleasant retail store environment. Counts money at end of day store operations and completes a written report to accompany monies given to bookkeeper, maintaining a copy of the daily report for their file.     St. Teresa of Calcutta Senior Ministry House Keeper Major Objective: Perform a variety of housekeeping duties for the elderly within their home. Position Reports To: Program Manager Employment Category: Part-time; Non-exempt Qualifications: Candidate must have a high school degree and preferably 1-2 years of housekeeping experience. Candidate must be able to work with staff, volunteers, and the community in a manner that is reflective of the Christian philosophy of Catholic Social Services.
